With foundation work seemingly completed, vertical progress is underway for the new Bathhouse located at West Madison and North Morgan Streets in the West Loop. On the west end of the construction site, a wall of concrete block is starting to form as it wraps around the front of the building.

Just as a bath requires a long soak, foundation work took a good while to get to this point. What still shows at ground level is an intricate maze of concrete, some of which will undoubtedly be filled with water when all is said and done. That will all disappear behind cinderblocks as the four walls go up around the perimeter.

As yet, the Bathhouse website contains no information about the new Chicago facility, but it’s expected to include a similar mix of amenities, including pools, spas, and saunas. No opening date has been announced publicly.
