A permit for new construction has been issued for a new residential building at 2127 North Racine Avenue in Lincoln Park. The permit was issued on December 20 after a 50-day processing time. When complete, the property will stand three stories tall and house two dwelling units. The property plans to feature rear terraces and stairs, a rooftop deck with pergola and stair enclosure, and a detached two-vehicle garage with a rooftop deck.

Fees for the permit total $5,290, with $1,800 paid so far and $3,490 still unpaid. Work, being led by EZMB LLC, is anticipated to cost $1,160,925. Plans were designed by John Hanna.

Transit nearby 2127 North Racine Avenue will include CTA Stations with service for the Red, Brown, and Purple lines, as well as stops for the 73 and 74 bus lines.

  4. Planning commissioner needs to be fired, why are all our greystones being demolished for new trashy condos built with cheap materials. Keep the front facade. Ald Timmy should also be voted out next election.
