A new construction permit has been issued for a three-story, three-unit residential building at 4739 South Indiana Avenue in Bronzeville. Plans were designed by architect Charles Schwartz. The anticipated cost of construction is $440,000.
When complete, the property will feature rear three-story decks and stairs, front balconies on the 2nd and 3rd floors, a rear patio, and a three-car garage. Construction is being led by owner JD Housing LLC.
As of the permit issuance date, $375 in fees have been paid, with an additional $4,428 due before construction can begin. The total project fees are $4,803. When complete, the property will be steps from the 47th Street CTA station, which services the Green Line.
