A permit for new construction has been issued for a property located at 2357 North Washtenaw Avenue in Palmer Square. The permit, which was applied for on May 1 and issued on August 2, allows for the construction of a five-story, 15-unit residential building with first-floor retail, a 13-car garage on the first floor, rooftop amenities, and decks on the 2nd through 5th stories.
The project will follow the 2019 Chicago Building Code and is being processed through the Direct Developer Services program. The total fee for the permit is $32,547.06, with $21,843.06 paid towards building fees, $1,000 towards zoning fees, and $9,704 towards other fees.
The reported cost of the development is $4,488,300. Construction is being led by owner Washtenaw-Wilmot, LLC. The architect for the project is John Hanna.
