The City of Chicago has issued a permit for the construction of a new two-story, two-dwelling unit frame building with a basement at 1821 North Lawndale Avenue in Logan Square. The permit was applied for on February 5 and issued on July 11. It includes a new rear porch and three new parking spaces on a concrete slab.
The total cost of the project is estimated at $450,000, with permit fees totaling $2,375. This includes  a building fee of $2,300 and a zoning fee of $75. The applicant paid an initial fee of $375, with the remaining $2,000 still unpaid.
The owner of the property is Loraine Thomas Properties LLC. Plans were designed by architect Andy Kacprzynski. When complete, the property will be a short walk from stops for the 72 and 82 bus lines.
