A permit for new construction has been issued for a property located at 6025 North Kenmore Avenue in Edgewater. The permit, which was applied for on June 6, 2023 and issued on July 23, allows for the construction of a five-story, 17-unit residential building with parking spaces, rooftop amenities, and balconies for specific units.
The project will follow the 2019 Chicago Building Code and is being processed through the Direct Developer Services program. The building will have two parking spaces at the basement level and seven exterior parking spaces on a concrete pad. Additional features include a rooftop deck, rooftop stair enclosures, rear balconies on the 2nd through 5th stories, front decks on the 1st through 5th stories, and a rear deck on the 1st story.
The total fee for the permit is $43,255.69, with $20,113.69 paid towards building fees, $12,500 towards zoning fees, and $10,642 towards other fees. The reported cost of the project is $4,161,750.
The owner of the property is KPLN Holdings LLC-6027 Kenmore Series. The architect for the project is John Hanna.
