A permit has been issued for a renovation and alteration project at 6517 South Peoria Street in Englewood. The permit was issued on June 17 after a standard plan review process that took 87 days.

The scope of work involves the interior rehab of the basement in an existing two-unit residential building. This includes new HVAC, electrical, and plumbing for the basement, as well as rebuilding the existing first floor stair to the basement as per plans.

The reported cost of the project is $30,000. Various fees were paid for the permit, including a $550  building fee and a $50 zoning fee, totaling $600. There are no outstanding unpaid or waived fees.

The project involves several contractors and contacts, including owner Robert Linn, working alongside architect Joosung Sohn. 6517 South Peoria Street is located a short walk from the Halsted CTA Station, which services the Green Line.
