A permit has been issued for a new construction project at 1114 West Fry Street in West Town. The permit was issued on June 25, 2024 after a standard plan review process that took 249 days.
The project involves the construction of a new three-story, three-unit residential masonry building. The building will feature an open steel egress stair, a stair enclosure at the roof with a private roof deck, and a two-vehicle concrete parking pad.
The reported cost of the project is $380,000. Various fees were paid for the permit, including a $2,150 building fee, a $75 zoning fee, and $1,878 in other fees, totaling $4,103. There are no outstanding unpaid or waived fees.
The project’s owner is RSMPD LLC. They are working alongside local architect Charles Schwartz. When complete, 1114 West Fry Street will be located steps from the Chicago CTA Station, which services the Blue Line.
