The City of Chicago has approved a new construction permit for a two-story, two-unit residence at 6453 South Rhodes Avenue in West Woodlawn. The permit was issued on June 6, following a 15-day review process. The new building will feature an attic, rear stairs, a second-floor deck, and a two-car garage. The project is valued at $500,159.00.
The total fees for the development amount to $5,602.00, with $1,800.00 already paid and $3,802.00 remaining. Plans were designed by architect John Hanna. The owner is listed as Champlain Rhodes 2, LLC.
When complete, 6453 South Rhodes Avenue will be located a short walk from the King Drive CTA Station, which services the Green Line.
