Construction is underway for a new townhome development at 3638 South Western Avenue in McKinley Park. The project, which is being spearheaded by the developer 3600 S Western LLC, carries a reported cost of $1.2 million and will feature six residential units, labeled A through F.
Ronald Vari is the architect responsible for the project’s design. Renderings have not been released at this time, but according to filings, the completed building will be 3 stories tall and feature attached garages.
The total permit fees for the new construction project amount to $6,546, covering building, zoning, and other applicable charges.
When complete, 3638 South Western Avenue will be located a short walk from stops for the 35, 49, X49 bus lines. It will be a short walk from the 35th/Archer CTA Station, which services the Orange Line.
