Exterior brick work continues for a new residential development at 5845 N Clark Street in the Edgewater neighborhood. The four-story, 18-unit building is topped out with tan brick with red brick being used at the rear of the building. Though the sidewalk canopy hides it from view, the first level is done in gray bricks.
A venture by developer and general contractor Shutler Development, 5845 North Clark is a design by SPACE Architects + Planners. Units feature inset balconies along the front, rear, and south façades. East and west elevations appear ready for window installation.

A demolition permit was issued May 12 of 2022 to clear the site of the single-story former home of Metro Remittance Center and Bacolod’s Best Kitchen at 5845 North Clark Street. Mulroy Demolition & Excavation was listed as the demo contractor for the tear-down. A new construction permit followed on November 28, 2022. Using the address of 1548 West Ardmore Avenue, that permit calls for parking on the first floor, but does not designate the number of spaces.

Residents of 5845 North Clark will have access to the CTA Route 22 bus right outside their door, at the corner of Clark and Ardmore. The Route 84 bus is a two-minute walk east at Ardmore and Ridge. The Route 50 bus is a four-block walk south. The just-opened Peterson/Ridge Metra station is a 10 to 12-minute walk to the northwest.

When will these units be completed and listed in the marketplace? Is there currently any contact name or sales office i can visit, to be more assured of the unit/floorplan i desire?
