Construction permits have been issued by the City of Chicago for a new three-story building at 2700 West Jackson Boulevard in East Garfield Park. The project, which is being spearheaded by owner 2700 West Jackson LLC, has an estimated cost of $478,500.

Designed by self-certified architect Victor Drapszo, the property plans to boast three dwelling units when complete, and will offer residents a rear three-story metal porch along with a three-vehicle parking pad. 3FIVE LLC will oversee the general construction, and masonry work will be a collaboration between Dexco Corporation and Gaval Construction.

When complete, 2700 West Jackson Boulevard will be located steps from stops for the 126 bus line. Beyond that, it will be a short walk from the Western CTA Station, which services the Blue Line.

  1. This Victor Drapszo designs lazy, usually cinder block buildings. Please make it stop. My eyes hurt.

  2. I’m always happy to see investment in the west side. I’m looking forward to the day when some of the old gems are revitalized, like the hotel on Pulaski and Washington.
