The City of Chicago has issued permits for a new residential building located at 2841 North Southport Avenue in Lakeview East. The project, which has a budget of $1,032,480, will introduce a modern four-story masonry building that includes three dwelling units and a private roof deck to the neighborhood.
The property has been designed under the expertise of self-certified architect Christopher Boehm. Its design features a 248 square-foot roof deck and rear covered decks on the first, second, and third floors.
General construction will be managed by General Masonry LLC, based in Norridge, IL. Masonry will be handled by Casey Masonry Brick Inc working alongside Tir Connail Concrete. The property is owned by 2841 North Southport LLC, which paid $7,431.63 in total permit fees.
When complete, 2841 North Southport Avenue will be located a short walk from stops for the 9, X9, and 76 bus lines. Beyond that, the Diversey CTA Station, which services the Brown and Purple lines, will be a 13 minute walk to the east of the property.
