Construction permits have been issued for a five-story mixed-use building at 3347 North Southport Avenue in Southport Corridor. Managed by 3347 Southport LLC and designed by architect Timothy LeVaughn, the $4.5 million project was approved on March 29.
The property plans to boast 27 residential units, along with commercial space on the ground floor. It will feature cantilevered balconies, two private garages, and an elevator. This permit is the third issued, with foundation and wrecking permits issued previously. Surf Development Corporation, the general contractor, alongside masonry contractors General Masonry LLC and MC Handsworth Inc, will collaborate to construct the building.
When complete, 3347 North Southport Avenue will be located steps from the Southport CTA Station, which services the Brown Line.
