The City of Chicago has issued permits for a renovation at 235 West Alexander Street in Chinatown for the two-unit building at the address. The project, which is being led by owner Zhi Rong Liang, has a budget of $80,000.

The renovation plan was designed by architect Edward Yung and aims to modernize the interiors of both units within the building. Electrical updates are being handled by Thomas Wilson Electric. Chicago Style Management LLC, the general contractor for the project, will be in charge of construction.

235 West Alexander Street is located a short walk from bus service for Routes 21, 24, and 62. Beyond that, the Cermak-Chinatown CTA Station, which services the Red Line, is also a short walk from the property.
