The City of Chicago has approved a renovation project at 5514 South Wolcott Avenue, a two-unit residence in West Englewood. The project, which was submitted on November 8, 2023, received its permit on February 26.
Spearheaded by owner GS Azlan, the renovation has an estimated budget of $84,000. It aims to overhaul the residence while retaining its status as a two-unit home. The remodel will encompass a wide range of updates, including upgrades to the property’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Notably the project plans to finish the common basement.
Gregory Sengstock is in charge of the design of the renovation. The general contractor for the project is listed as Taking Da City Outside II, LLC.
5514 S Wolcott Avenue is located steps from bus service for Routes 48 and 55. Beyond that, the Western CTA Station, which services the Orange Line, is a 30-minute walk to the north-west of the property.
