The City of Chicago has issued permits for a renovation project at 7157 S Rhodes Avenue in Park Manor. The renovation, with an estimated budget of $80,000, targets a two-story, six-dwelling unit masonry residential building with full basement at the address. Permits were issued on December 27.
One of the key aspects of the project is the addition of furnaces to all dwelling units, ensuring enhanced comfort and climate control for residents. Additionally, in compliance with regulations, the project will see the removal of a basement dwelling unit, which was in violation of current Chicago building codes.
Thomas Budzik is in charge of the design of the renovation. General contracting work is being undertaken by Genco Services LLC. The owner, Dan Ilan, is overseeing this investment in the property.
7157 S Rhodes Avenue is steps from stops for the 71 bus line, and a 5 minute walk to the west of stops for the 5 bus line. Beyond that, the 75th Street/Grand Crossing Metra Station, which services the Electric District Train, is a 21 minute walk to the southeast of the property.
