Permits have been issued for a renovation project at 4618 South Evans Avenue in Grand Boulevard. Leadwaves LLC, the two-story residential building’s owner, will serve as the general contractor for the project. Permits were issued on January 24, and the project’s budget is $100,000.
Designed by architect Samuel Pavlovcik, the project will renovate the building’s two residential units and basement. Notable, the basement renovation will include a dig-down, which is a process that will increase the basement’s height to make the space more usable for residents. Project plans also include repairs to the building’s front wood porch and the construction of a new rear wood stair.
4618 South Evans Avenue is located steps from stops for the 4 bus line and 47 bus line. Beyond that, the 47th CTA Station, which services the Green Line, is a 15 minute walk to the west of the property.
