An interior renovation project has commenced at 1945 West Augusta Boulevard in East Village, with plans to revitalize five dwelling units within the existing three-story masonry building with a basement at the address. The self-certified project, which was submitted on December 5, 2023, was approved on January 9, and has an estimated budget of $200,000.
The scope of this renovation encompasses architectural changes, along with updates to the HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems as detailed in the project plans. Architect Mario Cruz is in charge of the design of the project. Humboldt Park Contractors LLC, a general contractor from Chicago, has been tasked with overseeing the comprehensive rehabilitation process.
1945 W Augusta Boulevard is located steps from stops for the 50 bus line. Beyond that, the Division CTA Station, which services the Blue Line, is located a 16 minute walk to the northeast of the property.
