A new construction project at 4703 South Justine Street in Back of the Yards has been approved. The project, which has an estimated budget of $24,900,000, will be a six-story mixed-use building when complete.
4703 South Justine Street is planned to feature 45 dwelling units, along with ground-floor retail/meeting space, catering to both residential and commercial needs. Residents and guests will have access to a partially enclosed 19-car surface level parking area.
New City Redevelopment Limited Partnership, based in Wilmette, IL, is the owner of the project. Architectural design and planning is being overseen by Gabriel Dziekiewicz, while Electrical installations are being handled by Titan Electric LLC.
Skender Blackwood Joint Venture, a general contractor based in Chicago, is responsible for the overall construction, and masonry work will be carried out by J&E Duff Inc and McHugh Concrete Construction.
When complete, 4703 S Justine Street will be located steps from stops for the 9, X9, and 47 bus lines. Beyond that, the Western CTA Station, which services the Orange Line, will be a 28 minute walk to the west of the property.
