Construction permits have been issued for a new residential project at 919 W Belden Avenue in Lincoln Park. The project, submitted on December 6 by Development Group LLC Burling Branch, was approved in just 16 days on December 22.

The project plans outline a three-story building featuring two dwelling units and a functional basement. The design includes a rooftop deck and a stair enclosure. Additional outdoor spaces include a rear deck with stairs leading to the first and second floors, and a stair access to the third story. The property also includes a detached two-vehicle garage, topped with a rooftop deck. The project’s budget is estimated to total $932,670.

The architectural design is led by John Hanna from Chicago, and general contracting is entrusted to BM UK Enterprise Company based in Northbrook, Illinois. Masonry work is being handled by Demox Inc and VH Masonry Construction.

When complete, 919 W Belden Avenue will be located steps from bus service for Routes 8, 37, and 74. Beyond that, the Fullterton CTA station, which services the Brown, Purple, and Red Lines, will be located a four-minute walk to the north of the property.

Stop tearing down historical buildings! ESPECIALLY if the replacement is going to be designed by Hanna

  2. Unbelievable that this beautiful home is being torn down for a 2-unit building. Toothless preservation laws.

  3. Lincoln Park is a lost cause. Just level it and replace it with more McMansions and a mega megamall that sells nothing but starbucks coffee and Lululemon outfits. Rename the whole neighborhood The Shoppee at Schaumburg Crossong.
