A construction permit has been issued for a new three-story residential building located at 6621 S Evans Avenue in West Woodlawn. The permit, which outlines plans for a three-story building housing three units, was officially approved on November 1, 2023.
The building, owned by Mia Jones, includes a rear deck and stairs, a five-foot iron fence, and a rear three-space parking pad for resident use. Mia Jones will also serve as the general contractor for the project. The full project is expect to cost approximately $450,000.
When completed, residents of 6621 S Evans Avenue will be a 10-minute walk from the CTA Cottage Grove station, which services the Green Line, along with bus stops for Routes 4, X4, and 63. The 63rd Street train station, which services the South Shore Line Train, will be approximately a 23-minute walk from the property.
