The tower crane can now be seen installed at 633 S LaSalle Street in South Loop. Spearheaded by The Collective, the upcoming 18-floor residential structure will be located where a surface parking lot once stood. This building will showcase a co-living concept, encompassing 117 apartment suites that accommodate a total of 381 residents.
Each suite is tailored for multiple occupants and offers private bedrooms complemented by shared communal areas. A sibgle monthly fee will encompass utilities, rent, furnishings, and linen provisions.
As far as amenities, the building will be equipped with co-working space, a fitness area on the rooftop, and an open-air terrace. Provisions have been made for bicycle storage, and vehicle parking spaces are available for six vehicles.
The approximately 230-foot design by FitzGerald Associates is wrapped in two light and dark facade segments made up of textured concrete finishes, I-beam spandrels, and a mix of white and dark gray brickwork.
Besides adjacent bike routes, several bus lines including Routes 2, 6, 22, 24, 29, 36, 62, and 146 are within a five-minute walk. Additionally, the Blue Line at LaSalle station is a four-minute walk to the north, while the Red Line at Harrison station can be reached via a six-minute walk east.
Overseeing the project is Clark Construction as the general contractor. Current indicators point towards a potential completion timeframe between the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025.
