A new construction permit has been issued for 1216 W Cornelia Avenue, a three-story residential building in Lake View. The project will span three stories with an additional basement level and yield two dwelling units.

The filing description highlights a rooftop deck, a stairway enclosure, access steps at the eastern elevation leading to the main entry, covered patios on the first and second floors, and a third-floor rear roof deck. Further design elements include two-story open rear egress stairs and a three-vehicle detached garage with a rooftop deck, pergola, and a five-foot-tall metal fence.

Christopher G. Boehm is the architect behind this design. No architectural renderings or visuals have been revealed.

The closest bus service is Route 152, located a four-minute walk north to Addison & Racine. Also within walking distance is bus service for Route 22 and the Red Line at Addison station to the northeast, as well as the Brown Line at Southport station to the southwest.

The permit indicates Bachula Development Inc. as the general contractor with a project valuation of $835,352. A completion date has yet to be been revealed.
