Permit Issued for 2733 W Wilcox Street in East Garfield Park

A construction permit has been approved for a new multi-family residential development at 2733 W Wilcox Street in East Garfield Park. The project, owned by Tony Gianni, will consist of a three-story building with three dwelling units. This new development will replace the former vacant lot at the site.

The architectural design of the project will be managed by JCSA, though specific design details are yet to be publicized. According to the permit filing, the project will feature two open parking spaces on a concrete slab. Further details about the building’s exterior materials and amenities are still to be disclosed.

In terms of transit access, the location is well-served by several bus routes. The closest bus stop is Route 94, just half a block west at California & Wilcox. Also, the site is about a 10-minute walk to the California Green Line station and a 15-minute walk from the Blue Line’s Western Station.

The general contractor for the project will be Structure Re-Right, Inc. The total reported construction cost is estimated at $350,000. As of now, there has been no announcement regarding an estimated completion date for this project.
