A renovation permit has been granted for a residential building at 6055 S Peoria Street in Englewood. The project, owned by 6055 S. Peoria LLC, will involve the repair and renovation of an existing three-story, 12-unit structure.
With Yu & Associates as architect, the scope of the project involves significant upgrades to its mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, along with repair and replacement of the existing exterior wall and back porches.
No new parking spaces will be added to the property, though the location well-serviced by various public transportation options. Bus service can be found for Route 8 via a three-minute walk west to Halsted & 61st Street, while additional bus service for Route 63 and Halsted Station’s Green Line service are both within a 10-minute walk southeast.
The project’s execution will be overseen by Clear Construction LLC serving as general contractor. With an estimated cost of $900,000, no completion timeline has yet been confirmed.
