Renovation permits have been issued for a residential project at 2852 W Polk Street in East Garfield Park. South Side Realty LLC, the property owner, plans to revamp the existing two-story masonry building, which currently contains two dwelling units. The renovation will maintain the R-5 residential use and occupancy, and the project includes replacing the rear porch. Architectronic Solutions is responsible for the design aspect of the project.
Transit options are available near the development, with several bus routes and CTA L lines in close proximity. Closest bus service includes Route 94 just one block east to California & Polk, while the Blue Line’s Kedzie-Homan CTA station is a 16-minute walk northwest.
South Side Realty LLC will also serve as the general contractor for the project, with an estimated budget of $90,000. As of now, a full completion date has not yet been announced.
