John Hanna of Hanna Architects is the architect of record. While no drawings or renderings have yet been revealed, multiple masonry contractors may indicate the possibility of brick or stone design. The filing also notes front balconies on the second through fourth floors and rear balconies on the second and third floors.
Nearby bus access includes north and southbound stops for Routes 22 and 50 along Ashland Avenue, just one block east. A six-minute walk north to Clark & Ridge are additional stops for Route 84. CTA L service for the Red Line is available at Bryn Mawr station, a 14-minute walk east.
Access to Lakeside venues include Kathy Osterman Beach, Edgewater Park, and Meditation Point can all be found within roughly a 20-minute walk east.
The site has previously been occupied by a two-story masonry residence and detached garage, which received demolition permits late last month. Alfa Chicago is serving as general contractor for the $896,900 construction. A completion date has not yet been indicated.
