A permit for renovation and alteration has been issued for 2916 West Adams Street in East Garfield Park. The scope of work includes interior remodeling and alterations to the existing two-unit residential building at the address. Plans were designed by architect Boris Cubas.
The scope of work includes duplexing the basement with the first floor for one apartment. The second apartment will continue to occupy the building’s second floor. In addition, the property’s rear enclosed wood porch will be removed and replaced with a new two-story open wood porch.
Fees for the permit total $1,875, with $375 paid so far. The remaining unpaid balance is $1,500. Construction, which is anticipated to cost $95,000, is being led by owner Zass Investments LLC.
