The City of Chicago has issued a new construction permit for a three-story, two-dwelling unit building located at 2021 West Erie Street in West Town. The permit was issued on September 18 after a processing time of 15 days. The permit is currently active, and fees are still due. A demolition permit for the existing property was issued August 8 of this year.
The work will include the construction of a front stair at the first and second stories, a rear stair at the second and third stories, a rooftop deck, a rooftop stair enclosure, and a detached two-vehicle garage with a rooftop deck.
The total fee for the permit is $4,350, with $2,850 paid towards the building fee and $1,500 paid towards the zoning fee. The reported cost of the construction project is $866,730.
John Hanna is the self-certified architect behind plan designs. When complete, the property will be a short walk from CTA bus service on Routes 50 and 65.

@Max Gillespie,
Did you guys mistakenly mark this development as 15 West Erie Street? I saw this article when it was posted and now it has changed. Even the Url I saved has “new-construction-permit-issued-for-three-story-residential-building-at-15-west-erie-street-in-river-north” in it.
Yes, then fixed it.
