A permit has been issued for the construction of a new residential building at 4112 West Potomac Avenue in West Humboldt Park. The permit was issued on June 20 after a standard plan review process that took 36 days.
The project involves erecting a new two-story building with a basement, containing three dwelling units. The structure will be a frame building and will feature new front metal stairs an d a rear metal porch. Additionally, three new parking stalls will be provided.
The reported cost of the project is $300,000. Various fees were paid for the permit, including a $2,850 building fee, a $75 zoning fee, and $1,878 in other fees, totaling $4,803. There are no outstanding unpaid or waived fees.
The project is being led by owner A-Z Builders Inc. It was designed by local architect Andy Kacprzynski. When complete, it will be located a short walk from stops for the 53 and 65 bus lines.
