A new residential development has been approved at 5856 North Magnolia Avenue in Edgewater, with plans to introduce a modern masonry apartment building with four residential across three stories and a basement at the address. The project, which has a construction budget of $1,050,000, also plans to feature a detached four-car vehicle masonry garage.
Michael S Cox is the architect for this project. EIRPOL LLC, based in Hinsdale, IL, is not only the owner but also the general contractor for the development. They will work alongside Derreen Concrete Inc, and Sitepro Services, both Chicago-based companies, which are providing masonry services.
When complete, 5856 North Magnolia Avenue will be located a short walk from bus service for Routes 36 and 84. Beyond that, it will also be a short walk from the Thorndale CTA Station, which services the Red Line.

You know Chicago development is down bad when a simple residential project is the main news for today.
Meanwhile in NYyimby, the top new 3 articles for today… a 42 story building, a 12 story building, and a 8 story affordable housing building, must be nice.
So you missed the actual top story for today about a 38-story and a 26-story building?
Wow this profoundly ignorant take ignores the fact that Chicago is less than 1:3 the size and it’s so pathetic that so many commenters have this constant need to compete with NYC. Somehow that is the barometer for progress. Let NYC be NYC and let’s just excel at being Chicago. Most cities across the world would kill for the level or development here. Comparison is the truly the thief of joy.
