Construction permits have been issued for a new two-unit residential building at 3008 South Wells Street in Armour Square. The project is being undertaken by owners Ada Li and Mark Cira. While detailed plans have not been released at this time, permits outline plans for the completed structure to include rear stairs and a masonry garage.
The project, which has a budget of approximately $450,000, has been designed by local architect Jeffery Klymson. Masonry and general contracting work will be handled by DS Construction Inc.
When complete, 3008 South Wells Street will be located a short walk from bus service for Routes 24 and 31. Beyond that, the Sox-35th Street CTA Station, which services the Red Line, and the 35th St–Lou Jones Metra Station, which services the Rock Island District Train, will both be a short walk southeast of the property.
