Construction permits have been issued for a large four-story mixed-use building, located at 336 E Pershing Road in Douglas. The developer, filed under McBrearty Construction Company, is planning ground-floor parking and offices, with 49 apartments above. Details regarding amenities or other features have not been announced.
Christopher Boehm of 360 Design Studio is serving as the architect of record. No drawings or renderings have yet been revealed.

The vacant project site lies at the corner of E Pershing Road and S Martin Luther King Drive, with east and westbound bus stops for Route 39, as well as north and southbound stops for Route 3.
As far as rail transit, nearest CTA L availability consists of a seven-minute walk southwest to Indiana station, with service for the Green Line.
Nearby points of interest include a Mariano’s grocery store directly across from S Martin Luther King Drive, while Wendell Phillips Academy High School can be found one block west. Residents will also find various parks within reach, including but not limited to Anderson (Louis) Park, Ellis (Samuel) Park, and Mandrake Park.
McBrearty Construction Company is also serving as the general contractor for the $4,824,600 development. A completion timeline is not yet known.
