Renovation permits have been issued by the City of Chicago for 3452 W Walnut Street in East Garfield Park, aiming transform the existing two-story brick building located at the address from two to three dwelling units.
Andrew Lipowski is overseeing the design and execution of the renovation. An important feature of the project will include the removal of the existing enclosed rear porch, which will be replaced with a new steel porch structure. General construction duties are being managed by V Squared Construction LLC, a Chicago-based contractor.
The project’s budget is $150,000 and permit fees totaled $2,301. Residents of 3452 W Walnut Street are located steps from stops for the 82 bus line. The Conservatory-Central Park Drive CTA Station, which services the Green Line, is located a 4 minute walk to the southwest of the property. Beyond that, the Kedzie CTA Station, which services the UP West Line Train, is located a 13 minute walk to the northeast of the property.
