Permits have been issued for a new six-unit masonry apartment building at 3930 N Janssen Avenue in Lake View East. First submitted on October 25, permits were issued December 5, following a 41-day review period.
The building has been designed by architect Christopher Boehm, and will feature a rooftop deck and rear porches across the first, second, and third floors. Additionally, the development will include a six-vehicle garage that will also boast a roof deck.
Barrett Homes, the owner and general contractor for the project, is managing the construction process. Masonry work will be a joint effort between General Masonry LLC and T & D Builders, Inc.
The project’s budget is $768,300 and permit fees totaled $24,824.41. When complete, residents of 3930 N Janssen Avenue will be located steps from bus stops for Routes 9 and 22. The Irving Park CTA station, which services the Brown Line, will be located a 12-minute walk to the west of the property, while the Sheridan CTA station, which services the Red Line, will be located a 14-minute walk to the east of the property.
