Permits have been issued for a renovation project at an existing two-story residential building located at 8000 S May St in Auburn Gresham. The building, which contains 8 dwelling units, is undergoing a significant interior remodel on both floors, along with in its basement.

The renovation, managed by GEO Property Mngmt. LLC, represented by Audelio Garcia, involves replacing two open rear porches with new structures and conducting necessary masonry repairs and replacements as required throughout the building. Additionally, the roof will be repaired or replaced as needed to ensure structural integrity and safety, and each unit will be modernized.

Architect Ghulam Kamal is overseeing the design and execution of the renovation, which was self-certified, speeding up the permit process. AGG Homes LLC, a contractor from Chicago, is the general contractor overseeing the renovation process.

The budget for the project is $375,000, and permit fees amounted to $6,469.64. Residents of the property are located a minute walk to the northwest from stops for the 79 and 44 bus lines.
