The City of Chicago has issued permits for the construction of a new four-story residential building at 4746 S Michigan Avenue in Grand Boulevard. The project, which utilized the self-certification process, was approved on November 15.
Designed by architect John Hanna, the building will encompass eight dwelling units with a basement. Key features of the project include four exterior parking spaces on a concrete pad, a front terrace on the first floor, and rear and front balconies on the second, third, and fourth stories. 4 Star Builders Inc, the general contractor, will oversee the construction process. The owner is listed as 4746 Michigan LLC.
The budget for this project is $1,788,541, and permit fees amounted to $19,741.56. When complete, residents of 4746 S Michigan Avenue will be located steps from bus stops for the Route 47 line. The 47th CTA station which services the Green Line will be a six-minute walk to the east, while the 47th CTA Station which services the Red Line will be a 11-minute walk to the west.
