A new permit has been issued for a three-story masonry building, which will house two dwelling units and be located at 3614 S Blake Street in McKinley Park. The project will rise on a formerly vacant lot within a unique roundabout alley configuration.
The residential project’s cost is reported to be $400,000, with Minyi Lu as the owner of the property. Meanwhile, Yung Architects is the listed architect of record.
The site is near a major commercial corridor along S Archer Avenue, as well the McKinley Park grounds just to the south. While the filing did not mention parking, bus service within a two-minute walk includes Routes 39 and 49, while the Pink Line at 35th/Archer station is a two-minute walk north.
Interstate Mechanical & Construction will serve as both the general contractor and plumber. No completion timeline is currently available.

Thanks for the article, Jack! I think you meant the Orange Line and not the Pink Line.
