A new six-story mixed-use building has received caisson permits at 6249 S Sangamon Street in Englewood. The project is being developed by Thrive Englewood and is being built to contain a total of 61 dwelling units, including 2 live/work spaces and ground floor retail. The architect of record listed in the project is Perkins+Will.
The new development is conveniently located near CTA bus and subway transit stops, providing easy access to the rest of the city for residents and visitors alike. The nearest bus stop is just paces from the property offering service for Route 63, while the nearest CTA Green Line Station is Halsted Station, a three-minute walk east.
The general contractor for the project is Bowa Construction, with this first caisson phase reported to cost $250,000. A final completion date is not yet known.
