Permits were issued on Monday to construct a new three-story residential building located at 2653 N Orchard Street in Lincoln Park. Owenbrin LLC has been listed as the permit owner. The scope of work includes three total units and a three-car garage with a roof deck. Demolition permits were issued for this property site last summer.
Michael S Cox is listed as the architect of record on the project. No renderings have been made public.
Future residents will find bus service for Routes 22 and 36 at the Clark & Drummond stop via a three-minute walk east. Additional service for Route 76 can be found via a three-minute walk north to Diversey & Orchard. Route 8 can also be readily accessed at the Halsted & Schubert stop via a three-minute walk northwest. CTA Brown and Purple Lines are accessible at Diversey station via a nine-minute walk northwest.
Green space can be found within a 10-minute walk east to the North Pond Nature Sanctuary and the larger Lincoln Park area. The property is well situated to enjoy access to restaurants and shops along nearby N Clark Street.
R Developing Group Inc is acting as the general contractor on the $800,000 project. A timeline on the build is not available but with demolition out of the way, it will likely commence shortly.
