A permit for renovation and alteration,has been issued for a property at 5209 South Indiana Avenue in Washington Park. The permit was issued on August 30, following a 259-day standard plan review process that began on December 15, 2023.
The project involves interior alterations on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors of an existing three-story masonry building with seven dwelling units. The work will be carried out in six of the building’s seven units.
The scope of work includes replacing plumbing fixtures and cabinets in six kitchens and six bathrooms, maintaining the same locations. A wood column in the basement will be replaced with a new one, along with a new footing. No HVAC work is planned, and only minor electrical repairs will be performed.
