A new construction permit has been issued for a residential three-unit building located at 6031 South Vernon Avenue in West Woodlawn. The permit was issued on May 7, following a standard plan review process that began on March 22.
The project will involve the construction of a new ground-up, three-dwelling unit building, which will feature all new HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Additionally, plans include a new rear three-vehicle parking pad and a new fence.
The total fee for the permit is $4,328.00, which includes building fees of $2,300, zoning fees of $150, and other fees amounting to $1,878. The reported cost of the project is $450,000.00.
The owner of the property is Paul Glendenning. They are working with Kathryn Shahbaz O’Brien, the project’s architect of record. When complete, 6031 South Vernon Avenue will be located steps from bus service for Routes 3 and 4. It will be a short walk from the King Drive CTA Station, which services the Green Line.
