A construction permit has been granted for a new residential development located at 2942 N Elston Avenue in the Avondale neighborhood. The development will comprise three-story, three-unit masonry apartment building complete with a basement. This new project will replace a two-story frame residence whose demolition permit is currently pending.
The project is owned by 2942 N. Elston Building LLC. Michael S. Cox is posted as architect of record. Though the permit did mention a masonry structure, specific renderings or drawings are not yet revealed. Apart from the main structure will be a new three-vehicle garage equipped with a roof deck and stairs for access. Transit in the vicinity includes bus service for Routes 76, 77, and 94 all within walking distance.
Key Builders Inc is the general contractor in charge of the construction, whose cost is $900,000. An estimated completion date for this development has yet to be disclosed.
