A popular Rogers Park business is on the move. XO’s Marshmallow Cafe first opened its doors at 6977 N Sheridan Road in 2017 where it has successfully operated as a fun and quirky place for locals to shop all things marshmallows. According to their site, the establishment was the “World’s First Marshmallow Café,” and the café has cultivated and kept its following by serving up homemade s’mores, gourmet hot chocolate, and other beverages topped off with marshmallow fluff.

With business going well it seems the operation is ready for a change of scenery and more space. The newest café will be opening at 2730 North Clark Street in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. This new location will be much larger than its predecessor, clocking in at 1,780 square feet of useable space. While similar to the original space in spirit, one notable change is that the company will no longer operate both their production and retail space out of the same address.
The original location in Rogers Park will be permanently closing at the end of this month. XO Marshmallow is having a sale to help move inventory in preparation for the changes ahead. The new location is expected to open in late April.
