  1. Is Chicago YIMBY a wholly-owned subsidiary of John Hanna Architects?

    • I submitted a suggestion once for ChicagoYimby to interview John Hanna as it feels like he’s the only architect in Chicago that designs smaller residential buildings. Sometimes the architect is listed as John. Sometimes it’s his business. He’a mystery.

      • You can purchase stamped architectural plans from Hanna architects as developer and submit them to the city for permit. You never have to interact with an architect. It is why he seems so prolific.

        • That’s actually a really great way of building more affordable housing. People may criticize the aesthetics, but this is how we efficiently build more housing.
