The City of Chicago has issued a new construction permit for a 4-story, 4-unit residential building located at 1920 South Damen Avenue in Pilsen. The permit, issued on April 17, 2024, was processed through the city’s self-certification program, which allows licensed architects and structural engineers to review and approve their own projects.
The project was designed by architect John Hanna. When complete, it will feature a basement, a deck on the 4th floor, and a detached 2-car garage with a rooftop deck. It is owned by 2000 W Cullerton LLC.
The reported cost of the project is $1,647,094, with permit fees totaling $12,454.99. When complete, the property will be located steps from stops for the 50 bus line and the Damen CTA Station, which services the Pink Line.
