A renovation project has been approved at 4113 North Damen Avenue in North Center. The project plans to add a three-bedroom, two-bath Accessory Dwelling Unit in the basement of the existing three-unit, three-story masonry building.
The building is owned by Zachary Daniels, and the renovation was designed by architect Leigh Heusdens. Plans outline the fabrication of a new concrete slab, framing, drywall installation, and comprehensive electrical, plumbing, and mechanical overhauls to the building. Additionally, the project plans to add a new exterior access door and stairs along the south elevation of the property.
General construction and masonry work are being handled by Halo Masonry & Construction Inc and D&D Concrete LLC respectively. The project is estimated to cost $80,000.
4113 North Damen Avenue is located a short walk from stops for the 50 and 80 bus lines. Beyond that, the Irving Park CTA Station, which services the Brown Line, is also a short walk from the property.
