Demolition permits have been issued for the removal of a three-story multi-unit masonry residence located at 910 N Wood Street in West Town’s East Village neighborhood. Permits were most recently submitted for the property in 2021 for the current structure.
The nearest transit consists of Route 66 which can be found via a four-minute walk south. For the CTA L, the nearest option is the Blue Line service is a 13-minute walk northeast to Division station. Future residents will find multiple outdoor venues in close proximity, including Honore Palmer Park a block west and Commercial Club Park via a three-minute walk southwest.
Dexco Corporation will be serving as the demolition contractor for the project. At the time of this writing, no further projects have been planned for the site.

Scratches head, yeah the permit is for the lot behind the green fence. I guess removing debris is “demolition”.
That streetview is from before the (first) new building went up. There was a fire that burnt out the whole building a few months ago. I suppose the masonry was damaged in the fire so it needs to be demo’d and rebuilt.
