A permit was issued earlier this month for the new construction of a three-story multi-unit building at 6853 W Belmont Avenue in the Montclare neighborhood. The owner of the permits is listed as 2315 Kenneth LLC, and the current plans indicate this project will yield four dwelling units and a basement. Each floor will feature a rear steel porch and there are four parking spaces on the site. The building will replace part of a strip mall.
George Grazis is listed as the architect of record on the project. At the time of this writing, no drawings or renderings have been disclosed, however, plans indicate that this build will lean heavily on masonry contractors.
The closest bus service is Route 77 which can be found at the intersection of Belmont & New England directly across the street from the future property site. There are many popular restaurants and retail options along Belmont Avenue as well as nearby N Oak Park Avenue.
North Shore Housing is serving as the contractor on the $600,000 build. An anticipated completion date has not yet been announced for the project.
